On the 7th of December we could hear the muffled sound of cheerful voices and the footsteps echoes on the wooden stairs of the Orient Hotel, The Rocks. At 12:30pm the annual Christmas party took its form, where as a company we relaxed and enjoyed the fruits of our ‘labour’ throughout 2010 and celebrated the ending of a hard year. Recognition was given to long term employees whom have worked at OneBuild for five and ten years. Staff recognized included: Gerard Siddle, Leny Kurniawan, Corina Wang, Brendan Belton and Ian Smith. The after party continued at Cruise Bar for those with greater stamina.
Tom and John arrived on the 11th of January under less than promising weather conditions for the second time after the original date was re-scheduled due to torrential rain and flooding of the golf course. John describes “There weren’t too many highlights from the round, although Tom had a birdie (which the pro playing with us couldn’t do [good one, Tom!]) and hit some nice long shots (with my driver).” John also described the magnificent condition the course was in and the fact that the rain didn't return contributing to the success of the event.
