Description: This project was a Design & Construct where we converted a 100+ year old building into a modern day office building, whilst retaining the heritage features and feel of the original building.The project consisted in striping out of an existing 4 storey TAFE building, adding an additional floor, decontaminating the existing and refurbishing into a modern day office over 5 levels including the construction of the central atrium and new lift shafts. The project was bounded by four street frontages on the periphery of the Sydney CBD with substantial materials handling and access constraints that were successfully overcome.
Achievements: This project acheived a 4.5 ABGR star rating. OneBuild was responsible for the design of the building especially the design of mechanical services, energy use, natural ventialtion as well as the design of BMS for the regulation and monitoring of building services.
